How to scan document online without uploading
Take a photo of a page or pick one from your gallery. The page outline is detected on your device, the perspective is corrected so the page is flat and upright, and a scanner-style filter whitens the paper and sharpens the ink. Corners can be nudged by hand before you save.
- 1Take a photo or drop images of documents
- 2Check the detected corners, drag them if needed
- 3Set the scan strength and rotate if the page is sideways
- 4Download the scans, one image per photo or a ZIP
Frequently asked questions
- Are my images uploaded anywhere?
- No. Every tool runs inside your browser using Web Workers and WebAssembly. Files never leave your device, and there is no server, account or tracking.
- How are the page edges found?
- Two detectors are built in. “AI” runs a small corner-detection network (DocAligner, about 5 MB, downloaded once) on your device; “Fast” uses classic edge and region analysis with no download. Either way you can fix the corners by hand.
- Why is my scan the wrong shape?
- The real proportions of the page are estimated from the camera perspective. If a corner sits on the wrong point the estimate is off; drag the corners onto the true page corners and the shape corrects itself.
- Can I scan several pages at once?
- Yes. Add as many photos as you like; each one gets its own corners and becomes its own scanned image, and you can download them together as a ZIP.
